This award was for an Informative Speech about "Hydro thermal Vents" discovered in the oceans. It received a bronze award at the Phi Rho Pi National Championships in 2007. This was my first platform speaking event and after just 3 weeks of preparation, earned a 3rd place award at the Chabot Invitational tournament and knocked several Open Division competitors out of the running!

I received 2nd Place award at the Northern California Forensics Association (NCFA) Speech and Debate Championships as a Modesto Junior College competitor. This award was for an Informative Speech about "Hydro thermal Vents" discovered in the oceans.

As a competitor representing the University of the Pacific Speech and Debate Team in 2008, I received a Second Place Speaker Award out of over 60 competitors. This award was earned alongside a Silver (2nd place) in the Junior Parliamentary Debate event.

My Persuasive Speech about "The Extinction of Honey Bees" received a silver metal at the CCCFA State Championships. Additional to this award, my speech was recognized as a finalist and top competitor in other California Invitational tournaments.

As a Parliamentary Debate Team, my partner and I received a silver award at the CCCFA State Championship Tournament. Additional to this award, I received the 5th place speaker award out of 96 competitors!

In the Extemporaneous Speaking Platform event, I received a 3rd Place award at the Northern California Forensics Association (NCFA) Speech and Debate Championships.

During the CCCFA State Championship Tournament, my debate partner and I received a silver award. What made that tournament even more exciting was being recognized as the 5th best speaker out of 96 total competitors!
